Classes & Enrollment

We believe that small classes and a small teacher to child ratio are essential to provide a productive environment and to offer individual attention. Each of our three classes has a lead teacher and an assistant teacher.

Enrollment for the 2026-27 School Year will begin soon. Returning families enrollment begins on January 7th and open enrollment will begin January 14th.

HighScope Curriculum

At First United Methodist Preschool (FUMP), we embrace the HighScope Curriculum, fostering a warm and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to become active learners. Inspired by the teachings of Jean Piaget, our approach emphasizes exploration, creativity, and hands-on experiences. Each day is thoughtfully structured to balance child-initiated and teacher-directed activities, allowing children to plan, engage, and reflect on their learning. Our dedicated lead teachers and assistant teachers work closely with each child, ensuring individual attention in our small class sizes. We believe that meaningful interactions and a supportive community are essential for social, emotional, and intellectual growth. At FUMP, we’re committed to creating a joyful learning experience that prepares your little ones for a bright future, all while nurturing their love for learning and their connection to God. Registration for preschool classes opens in January prior to the September start of the school year. 

A registration form and non-refundable registration fee of $50 are required for each child.

Tuition & Fees

Financial assistance in the form of scholarships are available for the 2025-2026 school year. You may note whether you would like to be considered for a scholarship on the Enrollment Form.

A fee and tuition chart for different school classes. Two-year-old class tuition is $265 with a $115 activity fee. Three-year-old class tuition is $325 with a $170 activity fee. Pre-K class tuition is $440 with a $225 activity fee. The due date for the first payment is August 1, 2025, with the payment due by September 1st, 2025.
